Quiet Storm Surf & Turf

This review is for the 122th location. I go to this store a lot with my daughter and the owner has commented in the past how much we are in there. In all these years I have never tried to return anything. I bought a top two weeks ago that is still displayed at the front of the store as one of the “new” items of the season. The washing instructions stated “WASH COLD. LINE DRY”. I washed it on delicate - so I was more conservative than the washing instructions stated. I wore this top 1 time only. When i took it out of the wash it had so many pulls and snags it was unwearable. I paid $40 for it. I went in today and explained what happened. I really believed they would credit me what I paid because it was unbelievable that something would fall apart this way after one washing on a setting that was more gentle than the label stated. Boy was I wrong. They told me too bad. They said they “didn’t know what I actually did to the top”. I left the top there. I told them they can have the trash they sold me and I will take my integrity and my business elsewhere. Dear Quiet Storm, clearly my business means nothing to you but when I choose to spend my money somewhere, it means something to me. Consumers have choices. I realize there are 100 tourists for every local and I am replaceable - but so are you. I didn’t ask for much, just customer service and I was treated like I was the problem. Just remember no matter how much money someone has, we all have choices on where we choose to shop. I choose not to shop with you. You’ll never see me, my daughter and most importantly my AMX card ever again.

Free standing store out of the way. They have a bigger selection than the one on the boardwalk. They carry Rip Curl, Billabong, Katin, Patagonia and more. They have a skateboards, surfboards, sunglasses, hats and just a ton of stuff. Worth the ride away from the main part of Ocean City. Highly recommend!

Called them at 6:25pm and asked what time they closed. They said 7. We were by the Francis Scott Key resort….so, we drove to 123rd street- arrived at 6:38…they were closed! I knocked on the door and said I had just called them- they didn’t even say “sorry” - just that they were closed!
