Happy Jack Pancake House has been serving the families of visitors and locals alike for 49 years. Started by Dick Smith and taken over by Bob Torrey 29 years ago, the restaurant has been a “must-visit” restaurant for generations. Currently located at 26th Street in Ocean City, it is a family run business with two generations of family working there. We pride ourselves on offering good food, fast service, and a friendly staff. We have expanded our season from full time in the summer, to include weekends throughout the year to better serve the Ocean City community. Cozy diner with homestyle breakfast. We loved our very berry pancakes and country fried steak. Their coffees especially the caramel macchiato is amazing.

Happy Jack is our happy place in Ocean City. The staff are super-friendly and always helpful. They have the fastest kitchen I have ever experienced for a breakfast joint, which is fantastic when you have limited time, but still want an amazing meal.
The food is incredible. We had looked for a regular breakfast spot for months, but either ended up with great coffee and subpar food, or terrible coffee and good food. Happy Jack not only has your diner classics on the menu, it has eclectic meal specials every month or so for the more adventurous and epicurious AND has commercial-grade espresso machines that provide cappuccinos and lattes, including delicious drink specials.
For example, they recently featured specials based on Girl Scout cookies. Despite having some trepidation about chocolate mint cookie crumbles and berries on my French toast, it was amazing. More recent specials celebrate Saint Patrick's Day with corned beef and potatoes (best home fries in OC!), mint pancakes, and golden caramel banana French toast. Their Irish cream latte was a dream, as are their frequent chai options.
Megan and her team are endlessly creative, make you feel at home, and provide an exceptional breakfast experience at Happy Jack. Definitely worth a stop (or two) when in Ocean City.

What a find! I came in because their marquis was funny. Excellent dark roast coffee in a giant cup. The omelette was like a crepe—super soft thin layers and filled just right. The pancakes were light and fluffy. PLUS, I could buy the great coffee cup for only $10 to take home! Great, great place.
