While vacationing in Ocean City, take advantage of the beautiful, ocean views along the Boardwalk with an early morning bike ride. During the summer season in OCMD (which runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day) bikes are allowed on the boardwalk from 2am until 11am, Monday through Friday, and from 2am until 10am, Saturday and Sunday. Bring your own bike or rent bikes from one of the many local vendors.
Whether you are riding solo or enjoying an outing with friends and family, bike rides along the Boardwalk are the perfect way to see all that the boardwalk has to offer, from the Inlet to 27th Street. And in the offseason, ride anytime! Bikes are permitted on the Boardwalk at any time in the offseason with the exception of Sunfest and Springfest weekends. Bikes, boardwalk, and beautiful beaches – just another fantastic way to Explore OC! Whether you are biking around Ocean City or going for a cruise along the Boardwalk, please exercise caution and proper bicycle safety at all times. Maryland Law requires children under the age of 16 to wear a helmet. Please be courteous when traveling up and down the Boardwalk, as it is crowded during the busy season with others who are jogging, walking, rollerblading, and enjoying the Boardwalk. Ride safe and enjoy!
